For example, from February to April, recipes are dedicated to Trentino Alto Adige and Basilicata cuisines.
Trentino Alto Adige, small region rich in mountains and valleys, tends to envelop the senses. First, the aromas of the place: the unmistakable wood smoke wafting from the chimneys of log cabins and farms, mixed with the flavour of speck-ham and local cheeses. Rich, creamy specialties are favoured here: canederli, suppen, frittaten and savoury torts spiced up with touches of kren (horseradish) on a bed of polenta and new potatoes. The hearty taste of wild game, fresh-water fish, and wurstel have blended seamlessly, since ancient times, with the fresh notes of crisp apples, wild berries, and herbs.
Basilicata, also known as Lucania, is a fascinating land waiting to be discovered. Its breathtaking natural landscape combines with a stunning cultural and archaeological heritage, build up over the millennia. This lands has stayed true to its ancient roots, also with its local gastronomy. The ancient Roman Lucania offered Italy and the world two now world-famous specialties: Lucanian Sausages and Tagliatelle pasta.
